Moving Your Training Business Online

A simple guide to providing your first cracking online learning experience

With the current situation and the almost complete ban on face-to-face training many trainers are confronted with the challenge of finding alternative ways to deliver high quality, effective, and enjoyable training experiences to their customers.

Given the fact that many trainers cannot fall back on earlier online training experiences, that many of us need to develop online alternatives under time pressure and within very short periods of time, and that many of our customers are hesitant to be adventurous enough to embrace this new challenge whole-heartedly this is not an easy task.

From my conversations in recent months I know that many of us find this new challenge daunting.

Looking back at my own experiences, I can assure you that the current situation doesn't need to be intimidating. The current challenges can actually be quite fun to work with. They can provide an excellent learning opportunity to broaden our services and offer a wider variety of tailor-made training opportunities for a variety of customers.

That's why I am offering this short introduction of how to move your courses online. While this is not a comprehensive manual to this vast - and quickly growing - field, it is a hands-on guide on how to get started and get the basics right.

This course builds on my experiences from the last couple of years. I will share key lessons learnt and introduce you to a variety of possible formats and practical tools you can use to provide your customers with an exciting learning opportunity that is both effective in gaining new knowledge, new insights, and skills on the one hand and is a rewarding and joyful experience for all participants on the other hand.
